Does cleaning reduce my photo's quality?
Full metadata cleanup uses a lossless copy when the image format supports it. Operations that must rewrite the file use high-quality encoding. NoTrace always creates a new output and never overwrites your original.
Do you upload my photos anywhere?
Never. Everything happens on your phone. Nothing is uploaded, and the App Store privacy label is 'Data Not Collected'.
What's free vs Pro?
Free lets you view metadata, see the map pin, and remove GPS from single photos. Pro adds full removal, video cleaning, up to 50 photos at once, privacy profiles, EXIF date/location editing, and the share sheet.
Is NoTrace on Android?
Yes, on Google Play for Android 8.0 and later. It shows a photo's hidden metadata and cleans JPEG, PNG, and WebP copies on-device, with the same free tier and Pro plans. Video cleaning, batches, Privacy Profiles, EXIF editing, and the share sheet are on iPhone only for now.
Can NoTrace verify C2PA Content Credentials?
Not yet. NoTrace can flag common embedded C2PA/Content Credentials markers and removes stale provenance payloads when it rewrites or cleans a file, but it does not currently perform cryptographic manifest verification.
